Reliability Engineer analyzes and evaluates the reliability of products, equipment, components, and processes using engineering methodologies and tools. Develops the methods and measures utilized for reliability analysis based on product specifications, tolerances, or operating standards. Being a Reliability Engineer utilizes analysis techniques like FMEA, fault tree, and root cause analysis to identify problems. Oversees testing activities and reviews results. Additionally, Reliability Engineer creates risk-based failure mitigation plans. Proposes new or revised product designs, manufacturing processes and testing specifications that utilize best practices and will increase reliability. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to an engineering manager. The Reliability Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.   • The Rotating/Fixed Equipment Reliability Engineer is responsible for providing rotating and fixed reliability support to the site by supporting projects and turnaround planning with technical scoping, assessment, troubleshooting and recommendations that optimize the life cycle value of equipment as well as the installation and commissioning. This position will support the operating teams and Unit Engineers with major failure RCFA's, assessment and improvement of equipment sparing and critical parts inventory requirements to minimize downtime, investigate and develop solutions for bad actor equipment at site, and will back fill as required to ensure adequate coverage during vacations and/or vacancies.
     
     
    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
    v Required Qualifications:
    ·        Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
    ·        A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
    ·        Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of field practices including overhaul, balancing, and alignment methods.
    ·        Excellent understanding of centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, pumps, steam turbines, gearboxes, pressure relief valves, and other rotating equipment.
    ·        Experienced with condition monitoring program management.
    ·        Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of reliability practices and improvement methods.
    ·        Familiar with Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams and Piping
    ·        Refinery engineering experience with a focus on rotating equipment, condition monitoring, and reliability methods.
    ·        Possess knowledge in and experience with safe work practices in an oil refinery environment accompanied by a superior safety attitude.
    ·        Familiar with standards ISO 14224, API 610, 618, 670, and 614
    ·        Excellent computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    ·        Well-developed communication and presentation skills sufficient to convey both factual and conceptual information requiring detailed explanation and interpretation to staff, professional and business groups.
    ·        Strong leadership orientation that includes coaching, development of staff, and guidance of individuals toward goal achievement
    ·        Ability to perform data analysis and interpretation to identify trending patterns.
    ·        Possess superior analytical skills to identify key issues based on relevant data and provide appropriate solutions/recommendations.
    ·        Proven ability to work in a team environment dealing with people from various disciplines to achieve goals, and to identify and resolve problems.

    ·        ISO Vibration Certification Category I - III
    ·        Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional

    ·        Experience with AutoCAD
    ·        Experience with SAP Data Management Software, or other Business Enterprise Software
