Reliability Engineer analyzes and evaluates the reliability of products, equipment, components, and processes using engineering methodologies and tools. Develops the methods and measures utilized for reliability analysis based on product specifications, tolerances, or operating standards. Being a Reliability Engineer utilizes analysis techniques like FMEA, fault tree, and root cause analysis to identify problems. Oversees testing activities and reviews results. Additionally, Reliability Engineer creates risk-based failure mitigation plans. Proposes new or revised product designs, manufacturing processes and testing specifications that utilize best practices and will increase reliability. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to an engineering manager. The Reliability Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.   • Ø Develop, implement, and maintain predictive, preventive, and proactive maintenance processes. Monitor equipment performance and make necessary changes to improve equipment reliability and mechanical integrity.
    Ø Participate in the plant process safety programs to complete Process Hazard Analyses, to complete the Management of Change requirements, and to investigate process safety incidents.
    Ø Provide technical support for maintenance and major equipment repairs and perform equipment troubleshooting/failure analysis. Maintain Larger Rotating Equipment by coordinating and supervising equipment overhauls and PM tasks. Maintain Lubrication program.
    Ø Work with maintenance, production, engineering, and other organizations to improve equipment care and work practices. Update maintenance and equipment procedures along with stores/inventory spare parts to better maintain equipment.
    Ø Oversee improvements to instrumentation and shutdown maintenance programs.
    Ø Review pertinent engineering and construction projects and make recommendations on design changes to improve the overall equipment reliability.
    Ø Stay abreast of technology, equipment, and practices. Evaluate and communicate industry practices and technologies to the plant. Maintain active involvement with best practice and technical teams. Interface with other technical and engineering groups for assistance in areas outside technical expertise.
    Ø Maintain cost, reliability, and mechanical integrity measurements.
    Ø Participate in maintaining process safety information current and accurate for the physical assets: (P & IDs) and technician-process activities (procedures and work instructions). 
    Ø Supports and fulfills the requirements of the plant’s ISO Quality System.
     
     
    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
    v Must have at least 1 year of industry experience, mechanical integrity, and reliability experience
    v Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
    v Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
    v Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
    v Strong analytical/problem solving skills
    v Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment
