JOB DESCRIPTION: ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR (7) $5904.00 School Year

REPORTS TO: Building Principal. Serves as liaison between coaches and the administration.
OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
To support the middle/high school athletic department consistent with district, league and state policies and administrative
procedures and to implement within the district an effective and comprehensive co-curricular program for students K-12.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
1. Supervise or provide for the proper supervision of all student activities, social activities, performing groups' events, and
athletic contests.
2. Work with students and staff to see that proper planning has been done which will assure reasonable expectations of
success for scheduled events.
3. Reviews staff requests and makes related recommendations to the administration.
4. Support the principal in the administration and enforcing all interscholastic policies and procedures working within the
confines of the Policies, Rules and By-Laws of the Alaska School Activities Association, Region 1, Conferences, and the North
Slope Borough School District.
5. Supervise student activities:
the list of contacted workers for that contest to the principal prior to the event. Ensure all pre-employment paper
work is completed and process game worker/officials paperwork for payment.
