Position: Activities Director

Key Qualifications:

We are looking for an individual who embodies our values and can drive the activities program with dedication and enthusiasm. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

As our Activities Director, your role will involve:

• Planning, developing, and implementing engaging activity programs.
• Staying updated on federal and state regulations, and recommending policy changes as needed.
• Reviewing and enhancing department policies and procedures.
• Identifying medically related activity needs and contributing to care plans.
• Collaborating with residents and families for program planning.
• Providing consultation to staff and community agencies to meet residents' needs.
• Coordinating activities with other departments.
• Ensuring that all activity progress notes are comprehensive and informative.
• Organizing transportation for field trips when necessary.
• Maintaining a reference library for compliance and quality programs.
• Developing and participating in in-service training classes.
• Conducting assessments of resident activity needs.
• Reviewing nurses' notes for compliance with care plans.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Activities Director.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
