Job Summary:
This position is responsible for all resident activities of a community, including coordinating all internal and external resident activities, creating the monthly activity calendar, arranging outside entertainment, assessing resident preferences, guiding program to meet resident needs, and communicating with the management company on all appropriate matters.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior activities coordination/supervision experience preferred. Current first aid certification strongly preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, and other Special Requirements:
Must have a current Tuberculosis skin test or chest x-ray. Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Must pass criminal background check. Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
Essential Skills:
Must be neat in appearance, possess a pleasant personality, and be congenial with fellow employees and the public. Must be able to supervise staff and volunteers. Must be capable of following instructions and using good judgment and initiative in daily duties. Must have excellent communication skills.
