Renal Dialysis Director directs the staff and programs of the renal dialysis department. Organizes and coordinates inpatient and outpatient dialysis services and operations. Being a Renal Dialysis Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for dialysis operations and programs. Monitors quality of care, compliance, and data collection and leads quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, Renal Dialysis Director oversees the professional development of staff and educational support programs for patients. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Renal Dialysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Hospital Details

    Vibra Hospital of Northern California, located in Redding, CA, is a 50 bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32 bed SNF providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

    Responsibilities

    Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Vibra Healthcare. Reviews all patients receiving dialysis therapy and assesses clinical status throughout treatment. Consistently assists team members in the delivery of acute hemodialysis utilizing the established standards of care. Areas of practice are diverse, including, but not limited to, the fields of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

    The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

    Required Skills:

    • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
    • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
    • Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.
    • Dialysis experience preferred, but not required
    • One (1) year of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, critical care or dialysis preferred.
    • Will except nurse residency program as experience.
    • Must be able to accurately interpret color test strips.

    Additional Qualifications/Skills:

    • Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
    • Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor preferred
    • Ability to project a professional image.
    • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
    • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
    • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
    • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
    • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace

    Posted Total Compensation

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It's not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $41.00/hr to $71.01/hr.
