Renal Dialysis Director directs the staff and programs of the renal dialysis department. Organizes and coordinates inpatient and outpatient dialysis services and operations. Being a Renal Dialysis Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for dialysis operations and programs. Monitors quality of care, compliance, and data collection and leads quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, Renal Dialysis Director oversees the professional development of staff and educational support programs for patients. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Renal Dialysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Renal Dialysis Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Reporting up to the Dialysis Manager and Charge Nurse, the Critical Care Registered Nurse oversees patient care throughout the shift. This person will work closely with other RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HUCs, and Medical professionals in order to ensure compassionate and competent care.

    Throughout the shift, the Dialysis RN organizes medication administration as well as documentation for the patients. The RN will respond to medical emergencies and work in a fast-paced environment. The Dialysis RN communicates with patients, families, and hospital employees.
