Renal Dialysis Director directs the staff and programs of the renal dialysis department. Organizes and coordinates inpatient and outpatient dialysis services and operations. Being a Renal Dialysis Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for dialysis operations and programs. Monitors quality of care, compliance, and data collection and leads quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, Renal Dialysis Director oversees the professional development of staff and educational support programs for patients. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Renal Dialysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Renal Dialysis Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Job Summary
Dialysis staff nurses provide care and treatment to patients on maintenance dialysis.
Dialysis treatment is provided within the scope of nursing practice. Dialysis charge nurses are designated as responsible for each shift.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure is required.
- Nephrology Certification or Certified Dialysis Nurse preferred.

Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $29.50 - $44.25 per hour
