Additionally, Renal Dialysis Director oversees the professional development of staff and educational support programs for patients. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Renal Dialysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Position summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for providing optimal care and services to patients with end-stage renal disease, who are dependent upon chronic dialysis therapy for life. As a primary care nurse, the RN is accountable for providing total, comprehensive, continuous patient-centered care for his or her own caseload of patients. To provide opportunities for the patient to participate in his or her own care whenever possible. To formulate a comprehensive care plan for the patient based on nursing assessment. Must be able to give direction, observe the nursing process of other team members, and assume a resource and clinical role. Must be able to problem solve with little assistance and handle stressful situations calmly.
