What You’ll Do

• As a Regional Travel Dialysis Nurse (RN), you will be performing Hemodialysis treatments and/or Peritoneal Dialysis (if experienced) within the Correctional Community.
• You will have a set base location, with the expectation to cover all other Pennsylvania facilities when needed. Most coverage will be based on preplanned schedules.
• You will be utilizing your assessment skills, technical skills, collaborative skills, documentation skills, and leadership qualities on a daily basis.

This role will cover the following facilities when needed:

• Laurel Highlands SCI
• Allegheny County Jail (low patient ratio)
• Southern Correctional Institution - Muncy (low patient ratio)

As in any setting, this involves teamwork and coordinating care with the health care team. In addition to the healthcare team, you are also required to maintain strong relationships, regular communication, and visibility with clients (site Managed Healthcare, DOC/BOP, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited RN Program.
• Current RN License for Pennsylvania & current CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English.
• One year of Hemodialysis RN experience is required.
