Reporter researches a variety of news stories through interviews, observation, and library and/or online resources. Determines tone and intended audience of story. Being a Reporter investigates and writes a variety of simple news stories. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Reporter typically reports to a supervisor. The Reporter works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Reporter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Reporters are needed to relay results from the state primary elections on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024. Reporters must arrive at their designated election office by 5:45PM and update the results as they come in. Selected applicants will be messaged through the Indeed email, and will be directed to email our Director of Elections for online training.
NOTE: All reporters are expected to follow state, county, and local rules regarding entry to public buildings. It will be the duty of the reporter to be aware of these rules, particularly regarding COVID-19.

Note: this is for May 7th, 2024. There will be opportunities for work in future elections, including November of 2024. Pay of $125 is for each evening of work, running 5:45pm until approximately 9:45pm. Payment is made through direct deposit after verification of the work completed via Bill.com.
