Res. Hall Manager (Incl. Room, Board) oversees all activities of a residence hall. Oversees the maintenance and renovation, purchase and inventory of supplies, assignment of rooms and summer housing, and housekeeping functions. Being a Res. Hall Manager (Incl. Room, Board) is responsible for student housing assignment, maintenance of facilities, and safety of residents. Ensures students follow college/university conduct policies and takes appropriate disciplinary actions when rules are broken. Additionally, Res. Hall Manager (Incl. Room, Board) room and board in the residence hall is included in the terms of employment. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Res. Hall Manager (Incl. Room, Board) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Res. Hall Manager (Incl. Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher's Aide to join our team. As a Teacher's Aide, you will assist the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. Your role will involve supporting classroom activities, providing individualized attention to students, and assisting with lesson planning.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to implement lesson plans and educational activities
- Assist in creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs or behavioral challenges
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Support students in their social, emotional, and academic development
- Help prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities
- Supervise students during recess, lunchtime, and other non-instructional periods
- Assist with record-keeping and maintaining student files
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Basic understanding of behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development is a plus
- Experience in special education or working with diverse learners is an asset
