Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees all activities of a residence hall. Responsible for student housing assignment, maintenance of facilities, and safety of residents. Being a Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) ensures students follow college/university conduct policies and takes appropriate disciplinary actions when rules are broken. Incumbent is not given room and board at the residence hall as part of the employment arrangement. Additionally, Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees maintenance and renovation, purchase and inventory of supplies, assignment of semester rooms and summer housing, housekeeping functions, and management of student conduct and discipline. Room and board in the residence hall is not included in the terms of employment. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Res. Requirements:- Promotes company safety culture through coaching, development, influence, and training.
- Subject matter expert liaison for health and safety for the project team and client.
- Prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly goals and tasks for other Safety Supervisors working on the project.
- Develop and maintain site specific documentation and templates that include the Site Safety Plan, Site Rules, Emergency Response Plans, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Site Induction.
- Lead safety related discussions at Plan of the Day (POD) Meetings, All Hands Meetings, Tailgate Meetings, Staff Meetings, and Client/Owner Monthly Meetings.
- Deliver training on Safety Initiatives, Site Induction, Work Procedures, Work Instructions, SMS, and regulatory requirements.
- Inspect work areas to verify consistency with procedural, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate safety related incidents to Corporate Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) Department, across business unit, and the organization.
- Conduct Incident Investigations to determine Root Cause and recommend appropriate Corrective Actions.
- Develop Incident Reports to support findings from Incident Investigations.
- Assist HSQE Department in the development of “Safety Alerts” related to incident to help create awareness across the business unit and organization.
- Drives implementation of proposed Corrective Actions to completion.
- Implement Corporate Drug and Alcohol Testing Procedure.
- Maintain incident data and safety metrics to compile reports.
- Facilitate audits and inspections by third parties and regulatory agencies.
- Safely operate company vehicle to drive to various site locations.
- Assist in development of Risk Assessments and Work Instructions.
- Assist HSQE Department in the development of "Safety Alerts" to help create awareness across the business unit and organization.
- Maintain incident data and safety metrics to compile reports.
- Facilitate audits and inspections by third parties and regulatory agencies.
- Procure, distribute, and maintain safety related tools and equipment for the project.
- Performs any other job-related duties/functions requested by HSQE Department.
Qualifications:You must must meet one of the first 3 bullet points listed:- Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of project experience in a Construction Industry Safety environment. Or
- 5 or more years experience project in a construction safety environment and completion of the OSHA 500 Training Course. Or
- CHST designation with a minimum of 4 years in a construction safety environment.
- Renewable Energy Safety Experience (Preferred)
- Emergency Medical Technician (Preferred)
- FA/CPR/AED (Preferred)
- CHST/CUSP/OHST/NCSO Certification (Preferred)
- OSHA 30/10 Certification (Required)
- OSHA 500 Certification (Preferred)
- Must have a valid current driver's license, eligible for corporate vehicle insurance coverage.
Anticipated base salary range: $73,000 - $100,000
Premium Daily Per Diem paid for food, lodging, rotational travel
Location: Stony Creek, VirginiaThe final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
