    Job Summary

    You will lead the Sunrise Experiences division - a new vertical which will provide clients with a party concierge, who is responsible for coordinating and managing a wide portfolio of curated experiences and offerings within the greater Sunrise ecosystem. You will manage in-house vendors and services, liaise with preferred vendors, and oversee our approved vendor list.

    Under the Sunrise Experiences umbrella, Sunrise will offer full-service Decorations, DJ packages, photobooths, specialized catering upgrades (champagne carts, popcorn bars, ice cream sundae stations, live juice stations, etc.), in house spectacles (uplighting, indoor fireworks, dancing on the clouds, etc.), and more.

    You will be responsible for meeting with clients, understanding their unique needs, and determining how best to improve their guest experience by upselling convenient and seamless event services. You will also be responsible for online reputation management and ensuring all clients are satisfied, such that they will promote positive referrals and repeat business opportunities.

    Furthermore, you will serve as liaison and contact person for coordinating details of events with preferred vendors and approved vendors for any clients that choose to work with vendors outside the Sunrise Experiences division.

    Sunrise provides an exciting and Dynamic work environment so don't expect to be tethered to your desk. You will be working 2-3 weekdays in order to effectively complete administrative tasks and plan for events. The remainder of your work schedule will be on Friday, Saturday, & Sundays before the events themselves (10am - 6pm typically).

    A large part of this job is centered around creating and delivering the client's vision. You will be responsible for the graphic design of photobooth templates, arranging floral, setting up backdrops, & meticulously planning small details ranging from the number of candles on each table to finding the right color palette for a client.

    You should bring an engaging and positive attitude to work and help clients feel welcome and cared for during their event process.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    PLANNING & COORDINATION

    • Liaise with and manage all communication with each vendor/department - DJs, Decorators, Caterers, Photobooth, etc. in order to ensure seamless coordination
    • Work with Operations Manager to coordinate staffing requirements for services added (laundry, decor setup/breakdown, photobooth setup, organizing inventory, design work, etc.)
    • Review inventories and place orders for supplies as needed
    • Effectively upsell services to improve guest experience and convenience by understanding their unique needs
    • Update contracts as requested and ensure client needs have been assessed accurately and communicated to relevant team members.
    • Support management with planning event turnovers based on the setup needs of each event

    CLIENT & STAFF INTERACTION

    • Energetic, enthusiastic and service oriented. Ability to function independently, balance multiple priorities and to work cooperatively in a flexible team environment is necessary
    • Be smartly dressed in appropriate attire Promote a positive and professional manner at all times
    • Assist sales department on their days off with some daily tasks such as fielding new inquiries, providing tours, & gathering client information
    • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards by developing & follow checklists
    • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.

    DESIGN & CREATIVE VISION

    • Candidates must possess experience with event planning, floral design, event management, creative design work, etc.
    • Graphic Design on Canva for Photobooth templates and client signage
    • Floral Design and event decoration management is key
    • Day of Event detailing & assistance
    • Gather proper floral supplies and containers for arrangements.
    • Clean and prepare flowers; clean up after job completion.
    • Deliver and set-up floral arrangements, linens, props or other décor for banquets and special events.
    • Being able to replicate designs and properly plan and stretch inventories is key
    • Comply with all Company safety and health policies and procedures.

    Skills

    • Proven management experience in events, catering and/or hospitality operations; experience as an event coordinator will be considered a plus
    • Floral and/or design experience is key
    • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and perform a wide variety of tasks over the course of the workday
    • Well-organized and responsible with a Strong attention to detail and appreciation for high standards
    • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Tripleseat Online Sales Platform, AllSeated)
    • Marketing & Graphic Design experience using Social media and Canva
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English (Spanish is a major plus!)
    • Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred
    • Excellent oral and written communication/interpersonal skills
    • A team player with a high level of dedication to collective success.
    • Strong background in negotiation and customer service skills required. An aptitude in rapid problem-solving will be an asset
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, hospitality management, or similar applicable field. *A combination of education and experience will be considered.
    • This position requires a flexible work schedule and availability to work nights if needed, weekends, and holidays.
    • Valid California driver’s license with 2 (two) points or less.

    Hours & Schedule

    Hours are consistent [40 hours/week] which will provide you with a stable income. Given that this position is directly tied to events, your exact schedule may vary, but you will have a 5 day work week with evenings typically off. This position will require a mix of office work [typically weekdays during the day, perhaps 9:30am - 6pm] and Event prep [typically weekends during the daytime, perhaps 10:30am - 7pm].
