The Department of Research and Conservation at the Florida Oceanographic Society seeks a full-time Research Associate to contribute to projects examining marine ecology in the Indian River Lagoon and St. Lucie Estuary, with a strong emphasis in seagrass ecology.
The position requires a Master’s degree in biology, or an environmental or marine science related field, with preferred experience in field- and lab-based techniques to assess ecosystem functioning of seagrass populations. The successful applicant will contribute to ongoing projects on seagrass restoration, ecosystem functioning, and monitoring and will have the opportunity to co-develop new projects.
