Job Description
The Researcher serves as part of the Research and Advocacy Center and Community Nutrition Center. The Researcher will work to coordinate the co-design of a produce prescription research project for low-income pregnant women. This study is a partnership between Hispanic Health Council, Wholesome Wave, Yale School of Public Health, and Yale Griffin Prevention Research Center. Responsible for recruiting participant for focus groups, facilitation of focus groups and community listening sessions. Participates in focus groups analysis with partners, recruitment, and implementation of the quantitative phase of the study. Supports evaluation of nutrition education classes delivered by the Agency’s SNAP-Ed program. Collaborates with partners on all phases of the study. Generates biweekly reports for the different phases of the study. Participates in meetings, managing group meetings and minutes. Participates on development of dissemination toolkit. Writes reports, as needed. Performs related work as required.
The hours of work are 35 per week.
This is a grant funded position. Position is contingent on grant funding.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Knowledge of project management/project research and data collection
· Knowledge of technical platforms (Microsoft Suite: Excel, Teams, etc.)
· Knowledge of quantitative/qualitative analytical software (SPSS, SAS, NVivo, R-QDA, etc.)
· Knowledge of statistical and qualitative analysis
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to collect data and translate/communicate complex research findings
· Strong communication and organizational skills
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or related field.
Bilingual – Spanish required
Preferred Qualifications:
§ Three-five years of post-graduate degree experience in social science research
