Postdoctoral Associate or Research Scientist Positions in Neuroscience are available in the laboratory of SUNY Distinguished Professor Zhen Yan, Ph.D. in Department of Physiology and Biophysics, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. The research goal is to understand the epigenetic and synaptic mechanisms of a variety of brain disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, stress-associated mental illnesses and autism. Transgenic mouse models, human postmortem tissues, and human stem cell-derived neurons are used to uncover pathophysiological basis and treatment strategies for these CNS diseases. A combination of cutting-edge electrophysiological, biochemical, molecular biological, chemogenetic, optogenetic, transcriptomic and behavioral approaches are used in their research.
