Job Summary
Teaching faculty at CURE are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, supporting the institutions administrative requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional field. He/she will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the school.
Under general supervision, this individual will develop, prepare and teach curriculum mathematics courses designed for CURE’s career focused technical ultrasound program. Faculty will also be responsible for advising students and collaborating with the Director of Education and Program Director when assessing student progress.
Serves as a catalyst in the learning process by presenting course content in an organized and motivating way.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, appropriate state and/or national licensure or certification in the discipline or subfield in which he or she is teaching.
· Three years of post-secondary teaching experience in mathematics.
· Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes.
Requirements
· Must pass a national background check.
· Must provide official transcripts.
· Must have 3 letters of recommendation.
· Must be able to successfully apply for a New York State Education Department Teacher’s License.
· Register and complete NYS required teacher training courses.
· Participate in professional development activities (personal or campus driven).
