Description
Head Start has an opening for a non-exempt full-time Site Director working 35 hours a week year-round. The Site Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned Head Start Center, exercising independent judgment and decision-making authority as delegated, including procedures and staff supervision. Under general supervision, the Site Director operates the Head Start program in conformance with the ACF Head Start Program Performance Standards, State Child Care Licensing, and LHDC Policies and Procedures.
Requirements
Must be a graduate of an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Management, Human Resources or correlated discipline; Associate Degree in a related field will be considered if willing to further education. Supervisory experience required. Proficient in computer systems and functions, including Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Internet, and email usage.
Must meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical, and complete an annual T.B. test.
