Research and Development Engineer jobs in Asheville, NC

We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer / Land Development for our Asheville, NC office. This position is available to an experienced engineer or a project manager with the drive and desire to make an impact in the Asheville Community.

The individual will be responsible for leading design, planning, and scheduling. The successful candidate will provide leadership, mentorship, and design assistance to engineering staff for civil engineering and land development related projects.

Duties

• Development of detailed site and grading plans, and erosion and sediment control plans
• Storm water management design, water and wastewater design, roadway and parking design, and construction detailing and specifications.
• Preparation of inventory assessments, analysis, and reports
• Assist with business development in the Asheville, NC region, including upstate North Carolina.
• Engage in public outreach, business development, marketing, and client communication.
• Manage preliminary and final design and construction phase services for multiple projects.
• Complete civil and site research, report preparation, and technical specifications.
• Responsible for design, specifications, plans, maps, project schedule, and budgets.
• Review for quality assurance and control and ensure compliance with LaBella’s quality standards.
• Participate in and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and clients.
