Research and Development Manager manages and directs the research and development programs to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential new products. Develops and implements research and development procedures and techniques. Being a Research and Development Manager oversees complex research projects, analyzes results and provides recommendations based on findings. Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures they are on time and within budget. Additionally, Research and Development Manager may require an advanced degree. Typically reports to a head of unit/director. The Research and Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Research and Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. As anAccount Development Manageryou will grow new sales through assigned PPG Paints stores, growing both existing business year-over-year, and developing new accounts.
You will report to the Regional Manager and work remotely based in the San Angelo, TX area.
Key Responsibilities*Ensure outstanding customer service is provided to existing customer account by keeping up to date with current promotions, new products, and with current customer service practices to find opportunities for growth.
*Develop account planning strategies, sales opportunities, and understand existing business and the segments they serve.
*Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to run accounts, maintain call logs and contact info, run reports.
*Collaborate with store managers and employees to ensure customers' needs are met.
*Facilitate customer quotes to achieve margin targets according to PPG pricing strategies.
Qualifications*High school diploma required
*Three (3) years' experience with stellar customer service acuity.
*CRM software experience preferred while previous coatings experience is sought after.
*Daily travel within an assigned territory; must have valid driver's license.
