A R&D Associate is responsible for all aspects of new product development. Products are meat, fruit & vegetables purees, spices, flavors, ex.
· Work with onboarding new customers
· Perform R&D work in the lab making small batch size recipes for customers.
· Manage new and current specifications
· Control development and management of current and new labels
· Keep detailed notes of development including variations on amounts of ingredients, methods used to render or mix the materials, an accurate description of the materials used in development (e.g., raw material names, suppliers, specifications, pre-measurements), details of finished product (e.g., description, scientific measurements (e.g., pH, brix, viscosity, color, texture, piece integrity, number of pieces, etc.)
· Scale up test design and results
· Approval process including taste testing, review of manufacturing, accessibility of ingredients, specific requirements, new procedures, risks to avoid (e.g., piece size variability).
· Conduct shelf life studies
· Prior research and development experience required
· Requires some lifting, no more than 30 pounds
