Heritage Cutter is a privately held, US manufacturer of precision cutting tools.  We are committed to American manufacturing.  We go to market under the Data Flute, Brubaker, Weldon and Decatur Diamond brands.  This position will be responsible for products manufactured and sold under the Brubaker brand. 

Brubaker focuses on high-performance and general-purpose taps. Weldon is a long-established manufacturer of premium carbide, high-speed steel cutting tools, and complex, special round tools. Brubaker and Weldon both serve our customers from our facility in central Pennsylvania.  This facility has been in continuous operation since 1881. 

We are seeking a qualified R & D Manager of Taps and Threading Products. These products include, but are not limited to, general purpose taps, high performance taps, carbide taps and thread mills.  We have significant, stocked, standard products.  However, over half of our tap and threading product volume are in engineered specials. The R&D Manager is responsible for working with our Tap & Threading Product Manager for new product development. The R&D Manager is also responsible for technical development and design of special taps and threading products.  Finally, this position also provides factory technical support for our field sales force.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with deep expertise with taps and threading products and a strong working knowledge of machining. This position will work in our manufacturing facility in Millersburg, PA. This position will also interact extensively with our tap product manager, inside engineering and field sales force.
