Research and Development Manager manages and directs the research and development programs to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential new products. Develops and implements research and development procedures and techniques. Being a Research and Development Manager oversees complex research projects, analyzes results and provides recommendations based on findings. Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures they are on time and within budget. Additionally, Research and Development Manager may require an advanced degree.     We are looking for a Land Development Project Manager to join our team. The highly qualified individual we seek will manage all site development activities for residential communities including on-site and off-site development, landscape, hardscape, and amenities. This focused individual will manage contractors, consultants, bids, make award recommendations for vendor contracts, and ensure development activities are completed on time and within budget.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ability to confer with clients, supervisory personnel, contractors, municipal staff/engineers, local planning boards, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as site design, permitting, schedule deadlines, budgets including change orders, work procedures, complaints, and/or construction problems.
    • Responsible for site plans (horizontal control plan), entitlements, construction documents, construction of site improvements.
    • Coordinate contracts, proposals, and change orders in compliance with department procedures to submit for approval.
    • Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with land development codes, environmental regulations and/or other regulations as needed.
    • Coordinate land surveys, environmental reports, archeological reports, and bidding & awarding of contracts (professional & construction services).
    • Plan, schedule, or coordinate site development project activities to meet deadlines.
    • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
    • Travel is required, mileage reimbursement is included.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Florida land development knowledge required.
    • At least 5 years of land development experience required.
    • Must be able to work independently.
