Research and Development Supervisor supervises activities in the research and development department. Oversees personnel who utilize established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data and write technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations. Being a Research and Development Supervisor ensures proper procedure, and helps devise new development techniques. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Research and Development Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Under general direction, assist Child Development Center Supervisor with duties to direct, plan and implement the operations of the child development center for service to preschoolers and infants/ toddlers, as assigned. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: maintain program compliance with applicable federal, state and local government regulations, agency policies and day care licensing standards that govern child care center operations; supervise and evaluate staff; provide oversight and guidance to staff in activities to meet and maintain center enrollment, manage and maintain children records, work with parents to achieve and maintain compliant average daily attendance, promote and facilitate parent involvement in classrooms and center; participate in training/workshops; perform other related duties as assigned/required
Head Start/Early Head Start
Must have four-year degree in early childhood education/child development plus two (2) years of experience working in early learning center and/or home-based setting; possession of a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and transportation, as position requires on-going/scheduled travel; computer literacy; post-employment physical and criminal background checks conducted
$1,750.40 Bi-weekly / $21.88 per hour (Pay Grade 25)
Regular, Full-time, Exempt, Seasonal (9-10 months) work schedule
Worksites are located throughout Summit County and assignments are based on program needs and subject to change during the course of employment
