Reporting to the Director, assists in providing leadership and direction of the overall operations of the Multilingual/Language Development Department; supervises staff; oversees and administers state and federal programs; maintains strong project management and coordination between projects, across Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) departments, and with other agencies; represents ISBE at committees and other meetings; provides technical assistance to agency staff, local education agencies, and program administrators.
