    Job Classification: Exempt

    Position Type: This is a full time, 10-month position. Monday through Friday. Standard days and hours of work are 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

    Grade Level: Middle School (7th & 8th grade)

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Plan and present lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
    • Prepare, administer, and grade tests/assignments to evaluate students’ progress.
    • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
    • Administer standardized achievement tests.
    • Maintain accurate and complete student records.
    • Confer with parents or guardians to discuss their child’s progress.
    • Meet with other professionals to discuss individual student’s needs and progress.
    • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
    • Use technology effectively to enhance instruction and student learning.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
    • Implement strategies to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of diverse learners.
    • Engage students in hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences to deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts.
    • Foster a classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and a love for learning.
    • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on their child's progress and address any concerns.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with best practices in math education.
    • Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students.
    • Ensure the safety of all students.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    · Bachelor’s Degree in Math or related field.

    · Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

    · Fluent in English; written and oral communication.

    · Valid Arizona Driver’s License

    Physical Demands: Standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and carrying classroom materials, bending and stooping to interact with students, reaching to hang materials, and using writing and typing extensively. Teachers must also be able to manage the classroom environment, respond to emergencies, and communicate effectively through speaking and listening.

    Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
