Job Description For Civil Field Engineering Technician:

MUST HAVES:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
• 2 years of experience in engineering and design for Transportation projects
• 2 years of experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or OpenRoads
• Currently working towards PE License, or currently have license

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience with Synchro, Highway Capacity Software (HCS), or VISSIM
• Masters Degree in Civil Engineering
• PE License or FE/EIT

The Traffic Engineer will specialize in the design, planning, and analysis for traffic engineering projects. They will be involved in traffic data collection, preparation of traffic studies, traffic signal and marking plans, and project costs and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare contract documents, specifications, and construction cost estimates

Perform engineering and design for traffic signal sequencing, traffic and crash analysis, traffic signal design, traffic phasing and timing, and traffic modeling

Traffic impact studies

Field investigations

Traffic data collection

Plan sheet development

Development of reports and preliminary concepts
