Reservoir Engineering Manager plans and directs all aspects of engineering studies regarding the identification, evaluation, and development of oil and gas reserves within a region. Oversees the process of estimating, assessing, and planning oil and gas production and development projects. Being a Reservoir Engineering Manager ensures all projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Additionally, Reservoir Engineering Manager typically reports to top management. The Reservoir Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • Summary

    Under direction of the Superintendent or Foreman, the Laborer assists skilled and more experienced construction workers.  The laborer performs a broad array of material handling and cleaning of equipment and work areas.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Essential duties are those that an individual must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

     

    • Measures distances from grade stakes, drives stakes, and stretches tight line.
    • Uncrate, carry and handle, set in place, and fasten for safety of materials set in place, various materials to include but not limited to, Photovoltaic Panels, Purlins, Gerters, Posts, and support beams.
    • Bolts, nails, align, and blocks up under forms.
    • Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
    • Levels earth to fine grade specifications, using shovel.
    • Mixes concrete, using portable mixer, smoothes and finishes freshly poured cement or concrete using float, trowel, or screed.
    • Positions, joins, align, and seals pipe sections.
    • Sprays materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint, or stucco through hose to coat, clean or seal surfaces; applies caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal crevices.
    • Grinds, sands or polishes surfaces, such as concrete, using abrasive tools or machines.
    • Performs variety of tasks as needed, including but not limited to: sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing forms from concrete, mounting pipe hangers, and cutting and attaching insulating material, demolitions, and cleanup.
    • Presents self in a professional manner, provides open and honest communication, and demonstrates respect to co-workers and customers.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.


    Qualifications

     

    Education / Certificates / Licenses

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record.
    • Must live local to the Grand Canyon work area

     

    Experience

    • 4 years’ experience in the construction field

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Knowledge of all equipment and tools being used in the construction field.
    • Able to work in a productive manner independently and with others in a team environment.
    • Able to communicate effectively.
    • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to computer rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction plan documents and specifications.

     

    Working Conditions

     

    • Physical environment: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to:  dust, noise, chemicals and solvents.  Exposure to power equipment.
    • Employee will be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
    • Depending upon project requirements, working conditions may include working in confined spaces and/or working with heights.

     

    Physical Demands

     

    • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to: carry supplies, reach, use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials and manipulating things, bend, stretch, balance, walk, stoop, push, pull and climb.
    • Essential functions of this job require employees to have the ability to quickly move hands, hand together with arm or two hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects. In addition, the ability to make precise coordinated movements of the fingers or one or both hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble very small objects is also required.
    • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
