Ensures adherence to and demonstrates a sound understanding of safety best practices and regulationsSupervises and mentors all supervisors; monitors their activities and provides leadershipEnsures teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlinesSupports the recruitment and hiring process for team members/crews on their projectProvides leadership and guidance to develop their team members skills and abilitiesWrites up reports, dailies, project plans, and presents them to relevant stakeholdersReconciles work production tasks as they relate to invoicingPositively motivates crew, especially when fighting the elements or behind on projectsEnsures quality assurance inspections occur during and after completion of work to ensure compliance to customer specific requirementsManages and coordinates all on-site construction activities for compliance with the project schedule and monitors and enforces compliance with contract requirementsDirects field staff in the daily, weekly planning processMonitors and reports on construction productivity and schedule performance (including trends, revenue estimates, and actuals) to the Project ManagerStrong communication skills when carrying out client facing tasksTakes actions necessary to meet project budget and schedule requirementsDirects and approves the development and implementation of schedule recovery plans as requiredSupports weekly staff, subcontractor, safety meetings; can conduct as needed.Has general knowledge of all disciplines of constructionResolves safety and quality issues with the safety and quality managersResponsible for discipline and performance evaluations of their reportsOther duties as assigned

Five plus years as a construction supervisor in a capacity similar to current requirementsFiber construction background (aerial, splicing, underground, etc.)Valid drivers license and excellent driving recordMust be able to pass a DOT physicalMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background checkHigh School Diploma or GED
