The primary manager for customer service and coordinating construction activities on specific construction projects. Responsible for establishing and managing the overall construction project. Sourcing, qualifying and hiring of subcontractors, labor forces and materials. Primary client interface. Oversight of job profitability, job scheduling and project safety measures are all key areas of responsibility.
Role Definition
· Company primary representative on projects ranging in size from very small to very large.
· Maintain cost controls.
o Keep orderly records and submit the information weekly to the accounting team.
· Identify means and methods for completion of the work.
· Attend all construction project meetings.
· Complete regular logs and share with the project team.
· Provide regular updates to Ownership and Senior management.
· Communicate with Project Superintendent, Project Administrator and Accounting staff to ensure effective information transfer.
· Generate and follow up on RFI’s to the project architects and engineers.
· Review, log and maintain all project submittals.
· Approve and code job costs.
· Manage the overall project budget and be the person primarily responsible for project profitability..
· Write Purchase Orders for materials supplied to the project.
· Review and approve all equipment usage.
· Assist the superintendent to coordinate all subcontractors on the job site to ensure a smooth work flow.
· Assist the superintendent to coordinate all materials delivery to ensure timely arrival and a smooth work flow.
· Review with the Superintendent three-week schedules weekly and distribute.
· Maintain a record of subcontractor backcharges.
· Maintain daily logs.
· Review project budget at least monthly and complete estimated costs to complete.
