The group home manager must have the personal characteristics, temperament, and experience to provide appropriate care to residents, gain their respect, guide their development, manage a home effectively, and participate in the overall treatment program. Each group home manager must work as a team player, being willing to support other managers and be responsible for work assigned to them.

New hires receive education in medication administration, compassionate care techniques, electronic health data entry, and self-care.
