Directly supervises employees assigned in residential homes. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include mentoring/ training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, recommending rewards and disciplinary actions; addressing grievances and resolving issues in a timely manner. Responsible for scheduling staff in the assigned group home.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervises the staff in the assigned residence.
- Foster positive relationships between persons supported, guardians, and family members; and coworkers.
- Empower supported persons to make informed decisions, facilitate inclusion in community experiences and activities, and promote independence in daily activities such as work, learning, and leisure.
- Ensures all staff properly complete documentation to record daily activities, incidents, behaviors, health concerns, meals, home maintenance concerns, vehicle problems, etc.
- Ensure staff are appropriately trained in all required training.
- Create, manage, ensure adequate staffing levels, and address staff call-ins. Including medication passers and drivers to be available each shift.
- Approve Paycom vacation requests and timecards weekly.
- Conduct or delegate completion of required fire drills, ensuring home is compliant.
- Ensure an appropriate supply of medication is always available. Complete pharmacy reorder form as needed and send to clinical services director weekly.
- Reports any maintenance, repair, furnishings, security, to maintenance department in a timely manner.
- Conduct and attend meetings and trainings, ensuring objectives and behavior programs are on schedule.
- Assist to carry out person’s development and support services plans and goals; perform personal care tasks such as assisting with personal hygiene and grooming; may perform home management functions such as cooking or shopping; may accompany person(s) to health care appointments.
- Ensure the home is kept clean, neat, and in a safe environment.
- Address staff calls after hours during on-call rotation; this consists of approximately one week every six weeks. Replacing staff and covering shifts as needed.
- Administer or supervise self-administration of medication.
- Work with staff to resolve workplace conflict or concerns. Complete disciplinary action per policy as needed.
- Review and report any concerns to the supervisor following the chain of command.
- Be familiar with and follow policies and procedures; maintain documentation and submit paperwork in a timely manner; protect and preserve operations by following HIPAA guidelines.
- Complete all training requirements in a timely manner.
- Perform therapeutic intervention, CPR, and First Aid as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- Two year’s experience in related field. Must complete all required training within six months of hire. Supervisory experience is preferred.

- Pass all prehire requirements such as criminal background and drug screen.
- Certification and training—provide proof of and/or training is provided: CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, Developmental Disabilities Modules, Medication Administration, Therapeutic Response, and any required training.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
