Residential Living Assistant provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Being a Residential Living Assistant transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. Administers and records medications given to residents. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant may administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Residential Living Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Summerfield Senior Living of Gulfport, Full-time Activity Assistant:
The Activity Assistant will aid the Activity Director with the planning, preparation and implementation of the social, educational, recreational and therapeutic daily or special event activities in the Alzheimers/Dementia Care Unit. The assistant must be flexible to changes in the day to day and other scheduled events. The assistant must have a positive attitude and believe in communication to troubleshoot issues, resolve them and move on.
The assistant must be open to the possibility of driving the Summerfield vehicles for occasional outings.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
