Residential Living Assistant provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Being a Residential Living Assistant transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. Administers and records medications given to residents. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant may administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Residential Living Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsible for assisting residents with severe developmental disabilities with daily living and habilitation needs such as: feeding meals, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living. The residents are medically fragile individuals who are both ambulatory and non-ambulatory with developmental disabilities and severe cognitive delays.'
Qualifications
