Residential Living Assistant provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Being a Residential Living Assistant transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. Administers and records medications given to residents. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant may administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Residential Living Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. What You’ll Do
We are looking for a PRN/on-call Group Home Residential Assistant. Duties include:- Assistance in maintaining daily routines.
- Providing skills and support to enable clients to regain coping abilities, enhance independent living skills, and prevent further disability.
- Creating a therapeutic milieu to facilitate treatment.
As a vital part of the clients treatment, the Residential Assistant interacts with community contacts, physicians, pharmacists, professionals, family members and center staff on the client's behalf. This position has contact with families and significant others during visitation hours and on an on-going basis.
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred.
- Experience with targeted population a plus.
- Must be 20 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Schedules include evenings, nights and weekend shifts.
