Residential Living Assistant provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Being a Residential Living Assistant transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. Administers and records medications given to residents. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant may administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Residential Living Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Springs at Whitefish is seeking a cheerful, fun-loving person for our Life Enrichment/Activity Assistant position, working with the wonderful seniors who live in our memory care.
This position would involve working directly with our residents, leading and assisting with group activities and working with our Director of Life Enrichment to develop new activities and coordinate larger community-wide parties and events.
This position is working in our Memory Care with our seniors with Dementia - we will provide you training and ongoing guidance and collaboration to learn and better understand how to engage and form meaningful connections with seniors with dementia - previous experience is not required, but you must have strong empathy, kindness, and patience
This position is for an independent worker who will take the lead in encouraging participation and have sensitivity to the seniors' individual needs, as well as be a team player who loves to collaborate.
