Being a Residential Living Assistant transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. Administers and records medications given to residents. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant may administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Residential Living Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Responsibilities:
    1. Provide direct care and supervision to youth residents, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
    2. Establish positive relationships with residents and serve as a positive role model.
    3. Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans for each resident, addressing their unique needs and goals.
    4. Support residents in their daily activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and recreational activities.
    5. Help residents develop life skills, such as problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
    6. Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, promoting their social and emotional development.
    7. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, therapists, teachers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care for residents.
    8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of residents' progress, incidents, and any significant observations.
    9. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance job performance and knowledge.
    10. Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations of the residential group home and adhere to ethical guidelines.

    Qualifications:
    1. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
    2. Previous experience working with youth in a residential, educational, or similar setting is highly desirable.
    3. Knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and behavior management techniques.
    4. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds.
    5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    6. Ability to handle challenging behaviors and deescalate potentially volatile situations.
    7. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    8. Valid driver's license and the ability to transport residents as needed.
    9. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
    10. Ability to pass background checks and child abuse clearances.

    Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
