Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
2. Previous experience working with youth in a residential, educational, or similar setting is highly desirable.
3. Knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and behavior management techniques.
4. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Ability to handle challenging behaviors and deescalate potentially volatile situations.
7. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
8. Valid driver's license and the ability to transport residents as needed.
9. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
10. Ability to pass background checks and child abuse clearances.
