Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assisted Living Attendant to join our team. As an Assisted Living Attendant, you will provide essential care and support to our residents in a senior living community. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents. Responsibilities: - Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals - Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse - Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed - Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship - Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents - Document resident care activities accurately and timely using electronic medical documentation systems (e.g., Cerner) - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care for residents - Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures Experience: - Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred - Knowledge of basic physiology and medical terminology - Familiarity with medical documentation practices - Experience working in a hospital or hospice care setting is a plus - Previous caregiving experience is highly desirable Skills: - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals - Compassionate and patient demeanor when providing care to seniors - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment - Proficient in taking accurate vital signs measurements - Knowledge of senior care principles and practices in an assisted living setting This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
