The Lakes Assisted Living & Memory Care in Banning, CA is hiring a full-time maintenance assistant to help with miscellaneous maintenance tasks throughout the community.

• $17 - $22 per hour DOE
• Days/Times Vary - Flexible Schedule
• Experience as a painter, or other handyman-like roles is a plus!

Position Overview

Responsible for the interior and exterior maintenance, repair and cleanliness of the community. Ensure proper sanitation and body mechanics are practiced. Will perform daily work orders and preventative maintenance assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the interior and exterior maintenance.
• Maintain all mechanicals to ensure they are in proper working order.
• Maintain a high standard of building interior and exterior aesthetics and physical condition.
• Complete documentation inspection sheets to assure all pumps and systems are inspected monthly as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Check work orders regularly and complete in a timely manner.
• Assist with all required federal, state and local inspections.
• Perform general maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, painting, carpentry and electrical repairs.
• Maintain all equipment in a clean and safe manner.
• Respond and assist with any resident, staff, guest or community emergency.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Work with the management team to ensure readiness of suites for resident admissions.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Experience with basic electric, plumbing, flooring, and grounds maintenance, preferred.
• Must possess the ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must possess strong oral, written and telephone skills.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Must possess a high school education or GED equivalency.
