Residential Living Assistant, Sr. jobs in Gulfport, MS
Residential Living Assistant, Sr. provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Being a Residential Living Assistant, Sr. transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. May assist with meetings and appointments with healthcare providers. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant, Sr. administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Residential Living Assistant, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. The Activity Assistant will aid the Activity Director with the planning, preparation and implementation of the social, educational, recreational and therapeutic daily or special event activities in the Alzheimers/Dementia Care Unit. The assistant must be flexible to changes in the day to day and other scheduled events. The assistant must have a positive attitude and believe in communication to troubleshoot issues, resolve them and move on.
The assistant must be open to the possibility of driving the Summerfield vehicles for occasional outings.
