Residential Living Assistant, Sr. provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Being a Residential Living Assistant, Sr. transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. May assist with meetings and appointments with healthcare providers. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant, Sr. administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Residential Living Assistant, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community is currently seeking a part-time Life Engagement Facilitator to join our Residential Living Life Engagement Team!
The ideal candidate will be engaging, compassionate, self-motivated, and have a passion for working with seniors and adding joy to their lives. If this sounds like you, we will provide the tools and training you need to be successful!Our Current Opportunity:
Full time Monday-Thursday, 8:30am - 4:30pm which may include some weekend and evening hours.
Primary Responsibilities:- Provides an extraordinary customer service experience for our residents while encouraging independence in activities of daily living, where appropriate.
- Conducts activities and programs, both in groups and individual settings, as scheduled.
- Assists with special functions, including creating, set-up, decorations, and clean-up.
- Acts proactively to provide residents with social and emotional support in order to enhance their quality of life.
- Works with interdepartmental teams, including Dining Services and Maintenance, to plan and carry out Life Engagement events and activities.
- Maintains Life Engagement related postings, calendars and bulletin boards throughout Residential Living.
Position Requirement:- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in an activities related field.
- Exceptional customer service skills required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Prior experience working with the senior population is a BIG PLUS but not required.
- Most importantly, this position requires accuracy, dependability, initiative, and the desire to be a part of a team that's main focus is to bring our mission to life for our team and residents: To provide for the spiritual, physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents through high quality facilities, services and personal care in a manner faithful to the Bible and honoring our Lord, Jesus Christ.
