Residential Living Assistant, Sr. provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Being a Residential Living Assistant, Sr. transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. May assist with meetings and appointments with healthcare providers. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant, Sr. administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Residential Living Assistant, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. As a leader in the senior housing industry, Glen Park in Glendale is looking for a leader who is an expert at building personal relationships with potential residents and their families. Job Duties and Responsibilities- Under the direction of the Executive Director, by generally accepted administrative practices.
- Maintain personnel records and documentation standards called for by Title 22, Title 17, and company policies.
- Serve as backup to the Executive Director.
Completion of an approved residential-elderly administrator certification program. Completion of at least 15 college or continuing education units. At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Current training in first aid and CPR. Have the personal characteristics, physical energy, and competence to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
