Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Residential Living Assistant, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with medical procedures, such as phlebotomy and gastric lavage
- Monitor patients and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff
- Assist with memory care for patients with cognitive impairments
- Perform tube feeding and ensure proper nutrition for patients
- Maintain aseptic technique when providing patient care
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA)
- Experience in an ICU or similar acute care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Experience with memory care and working with patients with dementia is a plus
