Residential Property Manager manages the daily operations of one or more residential properties or communities. Oversees sales/leasing, tenant relations, maintenance, and other support activities. Being a Residential Property Manager may be responsible for managing property budgets, collections and/or property improvement initiatives. May require a bachelor's degree in related area. Additionally, Residential Property Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Residential Property Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Residential Property Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Job Summary:

    The Sr. Account Manager plays a pivotal role in our property management team, serving as the linchpin between property owners, key stakeholders, and our internal operations. This position involves developing and maintaining robust client relationships, ensuring transparent property management operations, and overseeing a team of dedicated professionals. The Sr. Account Manager's responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities, from client liaison to financial reporting, marketing, leasing and property portfolio management. This role is instrumental in guaranteeing client satisfaction, optimizing property profitability, and maintaining a high level of service quality.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong and lasting relationships with property owners, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly. Act as the primary point of contact for property owners, delivering regular updates and reports on their rental properties' activities.
    • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of property management professionals, ensuring they align with company standards, goals, and a culture of excellence in customer service, including but not limited to, leading efforts to obtain 5-star reviews, provide 5-star service, and ensuring timely follow-up with property owners. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
    • Financial Management: Ensure accurate and appropriate charging of fees to property owners and hold them accountable for any past-due balances. Actively seek new property management business opportunities to support company growth.
    • Transparency and Reporting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including team leads and the Maintenance Department, to maintain transparency and streamline property management operations. Prepare and distribute various forms and reports to owners, promoting transparency in portfolio management.
    • Operational Excellence: Implement and recommend updates to property management office processes and procedures, working closely with the General Manager and CEO. Uphold company policies and mission while overseeing the profitable management of property portfolios.
    • Proactive Communication: Respond promptly to all forms of communication from team members, senior management, and property owners. Provide proactive updates to property owners and address their needs before they request information.

    Team leadership:

    • Delegating Tasks: Delegating tasks and responsibilities appropriately, considering individual strengths, workload, and development needs, to empower team members and promote accountability.
    • Setting Objectives: Establishing clear, achievable goals for the team that align with the overall objectives of the organization.
    • Planning and Organizing: Developing plans, schedules, and strategies to accomplish team goals efficiently. This involves resource allocation, task assignment, and timeline management.
    • Guiding and Mentoring: Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to help them develop their skills, overcome challenges, and achieve their potential.
    • Facilitating Communication: Fostering open communication within the team, ensuring everyone is informed, engaged, and collaborating effectively. This includes holding regular standing meetings, One on one’s, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts.
    • Monitoring Progress: Tracking the team's progress towards goals, identifying potential obstacles or issues, and taking proactive measures to address them. This may involve analyzing metrics, conducting performance reviews, and adjusting plans as needed.
    • Leading by Example: Demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and commitment to excellence in your own work, serving as a role model for the team to follow.
    • Decision-Making: Making informed decisions on behalf of the team, considering input from team members, stakeholders, and relevant data.
    • Resource Management: Managing the team's resources effectively, including budget, equipment, and personnel, to ensure optimal performance and productivity.

    Requirements

    Required Education and Experience:

    • At least two years of experience in property management, finance, or other related industry.
    • Proven track record of effectively managing teams in high-pressure, performance-driven environments.
    • Strong analytical skills to assess financial data and make informed decisions to support business objectives.

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Proficient in Appfolio Property Management Software.
    • Bilingual is a plus
    • 3 years of additional property management or related industry experience.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred, we recognize that relevant experience can be equally valuable. So while a higher level of education is preferred, we are open to candidates with a proven record of success and expertise in our, or related fields. We believe that hands-on experience is a key indicator of a candidate's ability to excel in this role.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Interview, hire, and train new support staff as needed.
    • Support daily workflow in the property management office by disseminating information.
    • Provide constructive performance evaluations and educate the team to uphold customer service standards.
    • Lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence in customer service and team communication.
