Being a Residential Property Manager may be responsible for managing property budgets, collections and/or property improvement initiatives. May require a bachelor's degree in related area. Additionally, Residential Property Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Residential Property Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Residential Property Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining property rentals by advertising and filling vacancies, negotiating and enforcing leases, and maintaining and securing premises.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of assigned properties
- Advertise and fill vacancies through various marketing channels
- Negotiate lease agreements with tenants
- Ensure properties are well-maintained, clean, and in good repair
- Address tenant concerns and resolve issues promptly
- Collect rent payments and handle delinquent accounts
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs with contractors
- Inspect properties regularly to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
Skills:
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with tenants
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management software
- Knowledge of facilities management and maintenance practices
- Ability to negotiate contracts and resolve conflicts effectively
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
