Purpose:
The Resource Development Director oversees the Resource Development (RD) department and creates and oversees the annual RD Fundraising and communications plan. The RD Director creates and leads the overall resource development strategy for individuals, corporations, faith communities, and foundations, and planned giving. The director is responsible for planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising activities including events, solicitations, and major donor cultivation and stewardship, some volunteer recruitment and retention, communications and public relations and marketing activities. The RD Director ensures that the development staff and the organization utilize the highest ethical and professional standards and best practices as established by AFP.
