Beartooth RC&D Area, Incorporated is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization assisting the clients in Big Horn, Carbon, Stillwater, Sweet Grass, and Yellowstone counties. The organization receives funding from federal, state, and local governments, and administers multiple grant programs and loan programs for small businesses.
The Community Coordinator Position has been designed to foster relationships, facilitate connections, and ensure the operations of economic and community development initiatives. This position acts as a liaison between the organization and its communities, working to understand the needs and interests of community members while promoting engagement and participation.

· Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and meetings to engage members.
· Develop and implement strategies for community growth and economic diversification.
· Provide technical assistance for Value Chain implementation and small business startup/expansion.
· Administrative, recordkeeping, project budget management, and compliance.
· Provide reporting of activities to Beartooth RC&D Board and share information with staff and other entities when needed.
· Excellent organization and management skills.
· Demonstrated competency in team collaboration, effective verbal and written communication, and attention to detail.
· Able to develop working knowledge of State & Federal reporting requirements.
· Competency in development and tracking of project budgets and activities.
· Comfort with public speaking and group facilitation.
· Skilled in coordinating projects, meeting deadlines, and effectively working independently.
This position requires the ability to prepare written reports to funding partners and present summaries of collaboration and leveraging efforts to project committees. The position is responsible for preparing quarterly and annual reports to funding partners.
· Some travel is required within the 5-county Beartooth region. Occasional travel outside the region may be required, including overnight travel to attend meetings, workshops and training seminars.
· Flexible office work schedule with ability to work from home (after the probation period).
· Position requires the ability to communicate with the public, co‐workers, and stakeholder groups on a regular basis.
· May need to sit at a desk, at meetings, and in vehicles for long periods of time.
· Must be able to stand and walk short distances, stoop and bend, handle and lift books, papers, and office equipment up to 50 pounds.
· Maintain a valid Montana driver’s license. Some use of a personal vehicle may be required with appropriate mileage reimbursement.

· This position reports directly to the Executive Director and Executive Committee.
· Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
· Experience is a plus but not required.
· Job training will be provided.
· This position will begin as a 20-32-hour/week position at $16-18/per hour DOE with a prorated benefit package including health insurance stipend, cell phone stipend, contribution to IRA retirement plan, paid holidays, and sick leave. The potential for more hours and pay increases may become available in the future.
