Staff Development Coordinator
Responsible for staff development in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern over our facility and as may be required by the DNS and/or NHA to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Responsible the staff development program which includes mandatory trainings, competency based nursing education and facility-wide clinical program development.
Duties include but are not limited to
Qualified applicants must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or LPN in the State of Rhode Island. Must possess an infection control experience and willingness to obtain certification, demonstrate the ability to plan, organize and execute nursing duties in a timely fashion. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. Be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care. Have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations, a professional attitude and high personal integrity.
