    BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

    The Business Development Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Business Development team in areas related to new and existing business. The Business Development Coordinator reports directly to the Business Development Director to ensure the evolution of relationships and follow-ups are current. This position will have a heavy emphasis placed on contact follow-ups, opportunity analysis, internal capture, and business-to-business (B2B) opportunities.

     

     

    Essential Duties of the Position

    • Identifies and researches business opportunities and follows up for potential pursuits.
    • Conducts follow-ups and researches of company contacts and consistent follow-ups to identity opportunities.
    • Updates company capabilities and partner/prospective relationships and registrations.
    • Briefs daily on follow-ups and identifies pipeline opportunities.
    • Assists with the overall strategy with the business development team.
      • Performs market analysis, identifies opportunities, and monitors competitor activity for each capture.
      • Conducts competitive analysis to develop competitive solutions.
    • Makes recommendations for new business pursuits and B2B opportunities.
    • Assists the Business Development team with follow-ups and action items.
    • Maintains internal and external opportunity road maps.
    • Provides research on opportunities and forecasts utilizing government opportunity websites such as: SAM.gov, GovWin.com, or FederalCompass.com.
    • All other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications


    • Bachelor’s degree or five or more years of aerospace and defense industry experience.
    • Five or more years of military training support experience is preferred.
    • Experience with Department of Defense proposals as well as Federal Acquisition Regulation understanding.
    • Familiar with the Federal Procurement Process, SAM.gov, FederalCompass.com, or GovWin.com preferred.
    • Understanding of capture management best practices, excellent organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent presentation and verbal communications skills, interpersonal, problem-solving, and business acumen.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.

    Must be able to secure a Secret Clearance.
